FEATURES OF THE PRODUCT
Reduced thermal shock.
The fleece comfort insole allows better insulation from the cold and thus limits thermal shock when re-entering the water.
Protection from UV - PROFILTER
The knit of the TRIBORD UV-resistant product blocks at least 98% of UVB radiation and 95% of UVA (UPF 50+). With respect to the EN-13758-2 standard, this guarantees effective protection from the sun. It can be used both in and out of the water, for water or nautical sports. The direct integration of ceramic particles in the fibre of the product provides durable protection with time, even after washing.
Behaviour in the sun
Although this T-shirt allows protection from the sun, phenomena such as reflections (from the water, sand, etc.), heat, time of day, etc., must be taken into account. When you wear this T-shirt, you must follow the relevant conduct: sunglasses, hat or cap, regular application of adapted sun cream, drinking regularly, etc.
Protect your little ones!
Because the child’s defence system develops after the age of 3, babies’ skin is very sensitive to the sun. When exposed in an identical way, the sun effects are 2 to 3 times more significant than to an adult. It is thus important to protect them efficiently.
What does UPF 50+ mean?
UPF is a sun protection factor (Ultra Violet Protection Factor) and is standardised worldwide. It defines the protection level of a fabric and more precisely the proportion of UV rays it lets through. To meet the standards, it must block at least 95% of UV rays. UPF 50+ means that the fabric blocks at least 95% of UVB and 98% of UVA rays.
The product's knit reduces the hold of sand in the textile.
Young children have a head size that is proportionately larger than that of adults. To reduce the problems of dressing, this UV-resistant top has buttons pressed at the back.
The polyester textile naturally allows rapid drying after being in the water. Additional water-repellent treatment prevents water absorption to limit shivering if wind is present. Drying is also facilitated. The effects of this treatment will wear off after 5 or 6 machine washes, so to increase the lifetime of the treatment, it is preferable to rinse in fresh water rather than wash with detergent. If there is wind, however, it is advisable to dry your baby and his T-shirt with a towel.
