Additional information

How is buoyancy guaranteed?
This life vest was designed in accordance with EN ISO 12402-5. It therefore has the same characteristics as a buoyancy aid with a performance level of 50 Newtons. Like all buoyancy aids, users need to swim or stabilise themselves to stay in a position with their head out of the water.
What are the component's water repellent properties?
The water repellency of your Izeber 2 flotation jacket is obtained by applying a treatment to its outer surface. This treatment lets water run off the surface of the fabric without being absorbed. This prevents the fabric from soaking up water and keeps it lightweight, breathable, and warm. This treatment must be renewed throughout the garment's lifetime. Water-repellent treatment products are available in our stores.
How important is windproofing?
Protection from the wind is critical, as wind can chill the body significantly whether you are active or at rest. According to the "wind chill" model, which measures how the air temperature feels when factoring in the wind and cold: at a temperature of 5°C combined with winds of 30 km/h, the apparent temperature will be 0°C. If the air temperature is 0°C and wind speed is 40 km/h, the temperature felt will be -7°C. Your Izeber 2 flotation jacket counters the windchill effect.
