The test re-creates storm conditions in a weather simulator. Under these conditions, after 4 hours under a rain shower of 300 L/hr/sqm, our warm jacket still kept the user dry.

Machine wash your Inshore M warm and waterproof jacket at 30°C, inside out with the velcro fastened and without fabric conditioner. Choose a long rinse and gentle spin cycle. Line dry if possible. Occasional tumble drying on low for a short period of time will improve the water repellent treatment. To reactivate the water repellency, you can briefly warm iron the fabric (max 110°C) or apply the Tribord re-waterproofing spray.
Store in a dry place, but do not leave your garment on a heat source such as a radiator, as this may damage the breathable membrane.
FEATURES OF THE PRODUCT
The exclusive waterproof fabric is guaranteed to keep you dry – even in a downpour. In the rain simulator, the jacket stayed for 4 hours under the equivalent of a 300 L/hr/sqm storm without the tiniest drop getting through the product. The component's waterproofing is guaranteed to withstand more than 10,000 mm of water pressure.
The warm, quilted hood is fitted with a 3-way adjustment system for optimal comfort. You can adjust the height of the hood with an elastic drawstring and two self-locking cylinders, the field of vision with an elastic drawcord and toggles built into the back of the head, and finally the height of the visor with a rip-tab on the top of the head.
Protection of documents and accessories:
The jacket features: One waterproof inner zip pocket. Two easy access zipped chest pockets. Two elasticated mesh pockets for storing gloves or a hat.
Hand warmer pockets:
Two big, zipped, microfleece-lined hand warmer pockets on the hips keep your hands warm, protect them from the wind and rain, and keep your accessories safe.
The bottom of the cuffs feature a micro mesh stretch pleat and a thermoformed tab so that you can adjust the fit at the wrist.
The injection-moulded plastic front and pocket zips are oxidation-resistant, thanks to the special shape of the teeth. It has a double exterior flap and a placket that guarantee optimal waterproofing. The hem is adjusts using an adjustable elastic with a blocking eyelet.
The jacket's quilted lining combined with microfleece provides thermal protection of 2.63 clo.
What is breathability and the RET index?
The breathability of your jacket corresponds to its ability to let perspiration generated by the body escape. It is measured by its Resistance to Evaporative Transfer (ISO 11092 standard). The RET is a resistance index; the lower the value, the greater the breathability of the fabric. RET between 6 - 9: extremely breathable, between 10 and 13: very breathable, between 14 - 17: breathable, between 18 and 20: not very breathable, greater than 20: not breathable.
What is a waterproofing test or "shower test"?
Approved test in which your warm jacket is placed under a shower simulating different weather conditions. All of our waterproof fabrics are certified after more than 4 hours of testing in rain of 100 L/hr/sqm to 450 L/hr/sqm depending on the product use.
Water repellent component:
The water repellency of your warm jacket is obtained by applying a treatment to its outer surface. This treatment causes water to slide over the surface of the fabric without soaking in. This prevents the component from soaking up water and keeps it lightweight, breathable, and warm. This treatment must be renewed throughout the garment's lifetime. Water-repellent treatment products are available in our stores.
How important is windproofing?
Protection from the wind is critical, as wind can chill the body significantly whether you are active or at rest. According to the windchill model, which measures how the air temperature feels when factoring in the wind and cold: at a temperature of 5°C, combined with winds of 30 km/h, the temperature felt will be 0°C. If the air temperature is 0°C and wind speed is 40 km/h, the temperature felt will be -7°C. Your warm jacket counters the windchill effect.
What is the Clo index?
Clo is the scale that measures the thermal resistance of your warm jacket. During the test, your technical garment's component is exposed to a temperature close to body temperature and a controlled outside temperature. The clo index reflects the ability of your warm jacket to retain your body heat inside the garment. The greater the clo index, the better the technical component will retain your body heat.
