FEATURES OF THE PRODUCT
Greater freedom of movement
The Tribord 500 men's wetsuit collection has a cut and materials designed to increase freedom of movement and make paddling easier. The arms and the top of the wetsuit are made of super-stretch neoprene to make paddling movements easier. All the seams are stretch seams. Full-length legs and short sleeves make this cut ideal for wind sports such as kitesurfing or windsurfing. Short sleeves = reduces the 'arm pump' effect in the forearms.
Tribord 500 wetsuits are made of 100% neoprene to ensure optimal thermal insulation. The neoprene is lined with synthetic fabric for added resistance to wear. Neoprene thickness: 2 mm. Neoprene is a closed-cell polychloroprene elastomeric foam with trapped nitrogen bubbles that have insulating properties. We test and guarantee the thermal quality of our neoprene materials.
How does neoprene work?
By trapping a thin layer of water around the body, a neoprene wetsuit works in two ways: 1. The trapped water gradually warms up; 2. Heat transfer from the body decreases. The wetsuit and the thin covering of water form a layer of insulation.
We have added a windproof panel on the chest of the wetsuit (Fine Mesh smooth neoprene) to prevent the shivering which can occur as a result of windchill when surfing, bodyboarding, windsurfing or kitesurfing. This component improves the thermal comfort of the wetsuit and reduces shivering.
The neck finish has been developed to limit irritation on even the most sensitive skin. However, we recommend that you wear a UV top under the wetsuit to reduce the risk of irritation.
Recommendations for use
Make sure the flap is always inside the wetsuit to limit the risk of irritation with the zip and the neck.
Our zips and fastenings are laboratory tested in order to ensure an optimal lifespan and good resistance to salt water.
Sizing and fit
A surfing wetsuit should be a very tight fit to ensure the best possible thermal efficiency. It is perfectly normal to have the impression it is too tight when trying it on in a fitting room or at home. This discomfort quickly disappears once the suit gets wet. We have put the zip at the back of the wetsuit for more comfort during surf sports (when lying down to paddle).
Multi-water sports wetsuits
Our wetsuits are designed to meet the needs of the most demanding surfers. Our design choices also make them compatible with other water sports such as kitesurfing, windsurfing, wakeboarding, water skiing, sea wading or SUP (stand up paddle boarding).
