    Cracking first board for kids
    Robust, light Dries quite slowly

Got this for my 9yo and 11yo to progress from bodyboarding to "proper" surfing. It is 'only' 7ft so not really big enough for normal adults to learn with - though I plan on giving it a try if the kids will let me near it

First trip out was in flat water and I thought it would be pointless - it would be with bodyboards - but they spent ages just learning to move around, get their balance and messing about - in the end they spent 2 full days playing in flat water and had a whale of a time. In waves it is easy to paddle out (a concern for kids with bigger foamies) and fairly forgiving

For such a cheap board it is well put together, nicely finished from decent materials. It has seen a fair bit of dragging around on the beach / roof bars and only picked up minor marks - it is a foamie after all. I love the bright orange colour because I can see them from miles away but it isn't exactly "cool"

One concern is that when travelling with it on the roof it flutters and bends at speed - so far I have not ventured over 60mph with 18" of front overhand - it might be fine but it obviously lacks the strength of a glass coated board. It isn't huge so will go inside many cars if that is a concern for you
