Story of my first sailing trip

MY FIRST SAILING TRIP

We went to La Rochelle for 4 days at sea with two goals in mind: film the first sailing trip of my life and get some shots for Tribord. What am I saying? Three goals! I nearly forgot the most important: enjoy a fantastic sailing adventure while marvelling at the wonders of the ocean.

MY FIRST SAILING EXPERIENCE

Find out how I ended up in Hendaye for my end-of-studies internship with Tribord. I never set foot on a sailing boad, and only a few times on a motor boat - so, are you ready to join me on my new adventure?

A FEW SAFETY BASICS

Julien was the one to ask when it was just to two of us sailing, he says: “if I fall in now, what do you do?” …um, call the police? Throw you a buoy? Do we have a buoy? Where is the buoy? … PANIC!

ANAÏS

ANAÏS

Anaïs could have been ambassador for many a sport, but she never thought it'd be sailing!Born in the Hautes-Pyrénées, her childhood was spent between hills and valleys - mountains are a part of who she is:skiing, snowboarding, trail running, canyoning, climbing; she tried every mountain sport she could. But for all that, sailing is what takes up most of her time today.

PIERRO LARGE

PIERRO LARGE

Pierre has always been a sailor. He started off very young on Belle-Île-en-Mer in Brittany, with his personal trainer "Grandpa François". He discovered the joys of catamaran sailing, and the love of water has never left him since. With friends or family, and whenever the opportunity arises, he raises the sails or organises J80 and 4.70 for his ICAM Voile students' association. ‌ He has turned his passion into a job. He has been working as a product engineer at Tribord for 2 years and is relentlessly pursuing his slightly crazy goal of taking part in the 2019 Mini Transat.
